🚧 Freeze–Thaw Season Reminder 🚧

As temperatures swing between freezing nights and warmer, sunnier days, our trails become extremely sensitive during the thaw. Riding, hiking, and running on muddy trails can cause lasting damage. (Spooky!)

Please use good judgment:

-If you’re leaving deep ruts, footprints, or holes in the trail turn back.

-If mud is caking your tires, shoes, or hooves you’re likely damaging the trail.

-All trails are susceptible, but Horseshoe trails, north-facing slopes in the trees, and higher-elevation trails are especially prone to freeze–thaw impacts.

Help protect our trails by choosing to ride earlier in the morning or later in the evening. A little patience now means better trails in the future.
