Upper Snake East BLM Travel Plan: Public Comment
The BLM Upper Snake Field Office travel management planning process presents an opportunity for our community to envision a future for improved management and trail opportunities on BLM land in Teton Valley. Please help cultivate a future for increased quality and intentional trail riding opportunities by submitting a public comment.
The Deadline is July 10, 2023.
The provided talking points support the comment submitted by Mountain Bike the Tetons. They are crafted to support our overarching mission and collaborate with other recreation and conservation groups in the region. These recommendations would lead to an intentional trail network that:
reduce trail density
improve trail sustainability
create directional, purpose-built riding opportunities
connect Mud Lake to Game Creek through one connector
reduce privately accessed trails and dead-ends on private land
consider wildlife habitats
balance the limitation of access for a variety of designated uses
To submit a comment, simply identify what of the recommendations you’d like to support, which can be personalized or copy and pasted from our talking points into a letter to the Upper Snake Field Office. To support the comment MBT has submitted, you can also submit a comment that voices your support for the Mountain Bike the Tetons comment letter.
