MBT’s Spring Bike Maintenance Series
April 21st • April 28th • May 5th • May 12th
6pm - 8pm @ the Pierre’s Pedal Project workshop in Driggs
Have you always wanted to learn to do more of your own bike maintenance?
Join MBT and local mechanic Heidi Marquart for a 4-session “intermediate” bike maintenance series. For two hours each Thursday evening we’ll cover a different part of your bike ranging from brakes to suspension to drivetrain. You’ll start by watching an instructor demo and then practice hands-on in small groups of 2-3 per bike stand.
All classes will be held at the Pierre's Pedal Project workshop. Bike stands, tools, and refreshments will be provided. Depending on participant interest, some materials may need to be purchased before each session (ie. brake pads).
Registration is $160 and covers the entire 4-part class series. We have 10 spots for this inaugural 2022 spring educational program, so sign up at the bottom of this page!
Week 1: Dust off the cobwebs
April 21st (6-8pm)
Get your bike ready for this coming spring season. Bike maintenance is a wide-ranging topic, so in this session we start with the basics: a pre-ride inspection, securing bolts, and cleaning and lubricating key components. We will also make sure your bike is fitted properly!

May 5th (6-8pm)
Learn how to set your front suspension and rear shocks, check and change pressure, and keep them in good working condition.
Week 4: Drivetrain
May 12th (6-8pm)
Pedals, cranks, chainrings, chain, cassette, and derailleur… oh my! Learn how these components work. Cleaning, changing, and fixing!
